  • Maria Notarangelo - Yoga Teacher

    Maria has been practicing yoga, bhakti yoga and meditation for over 15 years and teaching since 2006. Her life is woven from threads of contemplation spirituality, passionate feminism, meditation and yoga. Maria brings a wealth of advanced yoga training. She completed the Hatha Vinyasa Teacher Training at Singing Lotus Yoga Studio, advanced Teacher Training at Downward Dog Yoga Studio and advanced Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasiter. Maria has been a student of many senior yoga teachers. She studied with Marla Meenakshi, Ron Reid, Rod Stryer, JP Tamblyn, Meshal Hardie and Lorri Medill. Her inspirational teachers are Snatam Kaur, Chameli Ardaugh, Rumi, Osho, Pema Chodron and Thich Nhat Hanh.

    Maria began her studies in meditation with Michael Stone in 2008, Vipassana since 2012, Thomas Hubl since 2013, and in 2015 she completed Shambala Level 1 training. To further enhance her meditation practice and teachings, she is currently completing a certificate at the University of Toronto on Applied Mindfulness Meditation.

    Maria currently teaches Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Goddess Rhythmns. She teaches from the heart with a focus on a holistic approach and follows the path of the divine feminine. Maria’s classes are intuitive, with constant focus on the breath and alignment. As a yogini, dancer and lover of life, Maria is known for her joyful and engaging teaching approach.

  • Loredana Bruno - Yoga Teacher

    Loredana’s journey on the yogic path began in 2013 when the universe handed her the invitation. Since then, her love for the practice led her to Bodhi Tree. She is a certified RYT, with over 200 hours of teacher training for Hatha Yoga, as well as continuing to expand her knowledge in Yin Yoga, she is eagerly looks to create a yogic experience that encourages healthy bodily functioning while awakening emotional calmness. In each class, Loredana makes it her mission to educate, promote, and encourage total health through the discovery of the body, mind and soul. Her gentle heart and dedication to her practice emanates in every class she instructs and her students are left to experience their own self inquiry and yogic light within.

  • Nuno Lourenco - Yoga Teacher

    Nuno began his healing arts journey through yoga 5 years ago. He completed his teacher certification at Yoga Therapy Toronto and shortly after completed his yin yoga certification with Soghrati Yoga. With a desire to help people with his new found passion and a new perspective on life he chose to teach people explore their own body and mind using the breath.

    Recently he has added tai-chi to his healing arts movement. During his first tai-chi experience he felt a pull, an attraction to the energies at play during the slow meditative movements.

    Another passion of his is digital illustration which he has merged with his love of movement and in the past 3 years he has illustrated poses for a Yoga book(Yoga Therapy Toronto), Yoga Journal and Yoga Manual(Soghrati Yoga). His personal artwork is inspired by his love of movement, anatomy and insights based on his life experiences. View his work here

    With his gentle open hearted personality he is able to hold a safe space for you to explore movement in a conscious way. His practice is gentle, playful and therapeutic. His approach is simple. Create space in the body and mind by clearing the clutter using the breath. Increasing your mobility and enhancing your quality of life. Leaving you with more space to flow freely and do the things you love to do.

    His mission is to inspire movement as he works with the need of each individual. He also offers private sessions for individuals or small groups providing hands on guidance and practical information.

    Nuno has been engaged in martial arts and sports throughout his life giving him a deeper insight into the relationship between the body, mind and breath. So much so that he feels very at home in his own body.

    As well as being a yoga and tai-chi teacher, he is also a reiki practitioner.

  • Jennifer Casola - Yoga Teacher

    Jennifer began her yogic journey in 1999. She felt quite enthusiastic about the results of a greater flexibility within weeks of beginning her practice, was puzzled about tingling sensations through the ends of her fingertips in many postures, and grew quite open to learning the philosophies taught thousands of years previously. Her practice became contagious within months of her introduction to this new found love by her mentor and friend, Lorri Medill. It was clear to Jennifer within a year of practice that teaching was in her near future. She trained for one year at Stillpoint Yoga Teachers Training, under Glenn Mifsud. Jennifer’s practice took her through passionate study in many branches such as: Sivananda, Bikram, Moksha, Prenatal, Jivamukti, Anusara, Yin and Kripalu yoga. Instructors and inspirational souls include Ted Grand, Janice Clarfield, Hart Lazar, Jeannine Woodall, Paul Grilley and Michael Siddall. It is important for Jennifer to instruct breath and body awareness before proceeding into the body flow of a practice. Her focus over the years has changed from fast moving, challenging asana to sit still, breathe, feel, experience, and then move slowly. Her general focus is to instruct mind body awareness in attempts to locate the most wonderful truest self.

    Jennifer is married to a fantastic man, with whom she has created three beautiful children. She is a Registered Massage Therapist (since 2005) and a Birth Doula. She teaches Hatha, Prenatal and Bodhi Bliss (restorative yoga with integrated massage). She is full of love, laughter, and life and she just wants to share it all with you!

  • Jane Hodgson - Yoga & Pilates Teacher

    Jane has been practising yoga for over 30 years. She is a veteran runner and appreciates the benefits of yoga as a means of maintaining physical and mental strength, maximizing breath and balance, as well as preventing injury and aiding in recovery. She began to deepen her practise in the 90’s which inevitably turned into a Teacher Training Certificate from Singing Lotus Yoga Studio in 2006. Jane continued with her yogic studies and has furthered her training at the Himalayan Yoga Centre in Goa India. She holds training certificates in Pre Natal Yoga with Cynthia Funk, Restorative Yoga with Judith Lassiter, Yoga for Runners with Christine Felstead, and has workshopped with Cora Weng. She also has experience in teaching seniors.

    Jane loves every aspect of yoga and wants to share this, and all the positive changes she has experienced, with her students. In doing so, she imparts the serious benefits of yoga with a very real sense of humour in a safe, welcoming and friendly environment. No experience necessary.   • Beth Robert CNP, NNCP, HBSc Holistic Nutritionist

    Beth Robert is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and is also a member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners under which she is designated as a Natural Nutritional Clinical Practitioner. After years of struggling with an irritable bowel, allergies, eczema and hypoglycemia began her healing journey with help from a nutritionist and decided to begin studying Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto for herself.

    An excellent researcher and educator, Beth loves to share her nutritional knowledge and passionate for whole foods with others through personalized consultation and coaching sessions as well as speaking and building and leading workshops.

    She believes in giving clients the tools they need to achieve overall well-being. She uses a holistic approach to healing by helping clients to nourish all aspects of their health. Her own personal journey has helped her understand why nourishment of all kinds is at the heart of a healthy life.

    She is a passionate and dedicated holistic nutritionist who loves helping clients reach their wellness goals using the power of whole foods. Having struggled with her health, she understands the frustration of not knowing what to do in order to get well.   • Margarita Moore - Yoga Teacher

    I am a mindful vinyasa yogi and a Thai Massage practitioner, who has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. For me, yoga is not only a physical activity, it is a lifestyle—everything that you experience on your mat: passion, care, love and respect, can be taken off the mat into everyday life.

    I have learned from several amazing teachers along the way. One of them is Diane Bruni. She has not only taught me about yoga, but she has also showed me the importance of embracing life and becoming more aware and connected with oneself. Another great teacher is J-P Tamblyn Sabo.   • Joy Green - Pilates Teacher

    Joy has been practicing Yoga for 15 years and brings that tranquility to her passion for Pilates. Her classes include gentle strengthening stretching for men & women of all ages and abilities. Joy is certified in Pilates from Body Harmonics and has a specialty in Pregnancy & Postpartum exercises. She hopes to help people feel strong and released in their joints and muscles and looks forward to helping you move better!

  • Melissa Padmavati Winkler - Yoga Teacher & Doula

    RYT 200 RPYT Melissa has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. A cervical cancer survivor, her journey inward included embracing ayurvedic medicine and along with yoga, healed her body from further surgery.

    Melissa decided she wanted to spread the joy and healing benefits of yoga to others. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in the Sivananda lineage. She has additional training in chair yoga, restorative yoga and prenatal and postnatal yoga and yoga for conception.

  • Sara Moyle - Pilates Teacher

    Sara brings the experience of over 20 years in the fitness industry to her teaching practice, with a special focus on Pilates. Sara also brings to the mat a love of laughter and playful, expressive movement. Sara is also a professional actor, producer, and artist-educator, and the founder and producer (8 years) of Humber River Shakespeare Co.- a professional theatre company touring the Humber River watershed. As an actor, Sara has played many roles, but often finds the role of Pilates Instructor most satisfying.

    Sara’s passion for active living extends to the outdoors, where she finds herself most at peace hiking, kayaking, canoeing, camping, and exploring the natural beauty and heritage new and familiar locales.   • Diane Imabeppu - Integrative Health Practitioner

    Diane Imabeppu, BA, BSc (OT) Integrative Health Practitioner

    Diane sees a person or situation as a dynamic interaction of physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic components. With compassionate presence, intuition, and energy balancing, she works with clients to gain clarity, experience relief, and restore balance to promote whole wellness.

    Diane has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, with a Double Major in Psychology and Family Science (1996), and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in Occupational Therapy (2000). For the past 10 years she has worked on blending science with the healing arts, delving into meditation, energy medicine and spiritual awakening.   • Bianca Demetrius - Registered Psychotherapist

    Bianca is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and has over 10 years of educational and practical experiences in the field of mental health and addictions. She has a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Addictions Counselling, and a Specialized Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She is also certified to provide e-therapy/online counselling through the Telemental Health Institute. She has supported individuals, couples, and families during difficult periods in their lives, and around diverse issues. Bianca strongly believes in the mind-body-soul connection, and she is passionate about helping people heal in a way that is authentic to who they are. She aims to provide a safe space where someone can reflect, learn, evolve, and heal. Working collaboratively with her clients, Bianca supports them through their personal journey towards self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-love.

  • Diana Thai - Yoga Teacher

    Diana has completed her teacher training in Hatha Yoga after years of meeting the physical demands of sports, weight lifting and obstacle course training. Her appreciation for the strong women around her has led her to the yogic path and now devotes her skills to the holistic approach of health and wellbeing, having completed Reiki Level 1, Thai Yoga Massage certification and currently finishing her Holistic Nutritionist schooling.

    Her style of teaching spawns from her medical background, guiding students to maintain proper alignment and safe practice without fear of injury and developing habits that will allow a practice many years to come. Her classes appreciates the human spirit, while promoting the mantra Listen To Your Body, and through understanding individuality, all levels from all different paths are welcome.   • David King - Yoga Teacher

    David came to yoga to help heal and strengthen his body from over 20 years of teaching and practicing martial arts. He enjoys sharing the healing practice of yoga through flow and restorative classes. He’s devoted to his yoga practice and learning all of the facets that yoga encompasses. You can expect to have a challenging, fun and rewarding class every time you step on your mat with David.

  • Victoria Samcoe - Mentorship Program Participant and Yoga Teacher

    Victoria Samcoe discovered her true love for yoga when her mom brought her to a therapeutic yoga class in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, one vacation, to help her cope with her anxiety. After the amount of joy the Florida class brought her, Victoria, her mom, and a family friend began to regularly attend their own therapeutic practice in Mississauga. Through this journey into her yoga practice, Victoria then decided that yoga needed to play a much more significant role in her life.

    Coming from a visual arts and dance background, Victoria has been surrounded by lots of peers being negatively affected by things such as anxiety, stress, panic attacks, and depression. Her goal in becoming a yoga teacher, is to share her personal experience with the positive affects that yoga not only has on the body, but the mind as well.

  • Susana Solari - Osteopath

    Susana is a manual therapy practitioner trained in Amatsu and Osteopathy. Both complementary health care approaches have a holistic view of health aiding in the restoration of the body’s own ability to heal itself. Integrating both Western and Eastern osteopathic techniques, Susana accompanies patients through the process of restoring health and well-being. She offers Indian Head Massage workshops and is fluent in English and Spanish.

    Susana graduated with distinction from the Amatsu Therapy School in Ireland where she practiced until October 2012. Coming to Canada, she pursued training in Osteopathy and she is currently a member of the Ontario Federation of Osteopathic Professionals. Always eager to upgrade her skills, she has continued her education in visceral Amatsu (organs manipulation), cranial osteopathy at the Academy of Osteopathic Science and Fascial Release with Tom Myers. Susana also holds a Bachelor in Education (Hons) and has worked in education with children and adults in different countries. ​

  • Nusa Gasper - Pilates Teacher

    Nusa is a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor and has been teaching Pilates classes for over 10 years. Her affection for sport is something she was born with. In early childhood, athletics was the discipline she fell in love with. However, after a few years modern dance and later sport/free climbing became her main fields interest. In her opinion, Pilates covers all the basic elements of movements that are typical of any sport disciplines, e.g. awareness of one’s own body, control and precise execution of movements, etc. Since she also works as a personal trainer, her programs always include basic Pilates elements as well. She joined Bodhi Tree upon arrival from her native country of Slovenia. She likes travelling and exploring new places, as well as getting to know new people. Her motto is that everything you really want in your life is possible and will come true.

  • Monica Butta - Reiki Practioner

    Hello and Welcome! I’m Monica, an engineer with an MBA degree and now the founder of Heal Me Energy - A Reiki Practice. I’m sure you are wondering about my journey from the world of engineering to the world of healing! A life-changing event had brought Reiki into my life, and I was unsure how to embrace it. The transformation wasn’t immediate; it came in phases that I could handle. I started with self-treatments for my migraines. Then I practiced sending Reiki to family and friends. The engineer in me understood Reiki as “Energy is not created or destroyed; it’s merely transformed from either static to dynamic, or vice versa.” Reiki to me became the positive energy in our lives that is available to everyone; all we have to do is unblock this within us.   • Marisa Mohammed - B.A., RMT, Registered Massage Therapist

    Marisa first sought out yoga in 2008, for the desire to be better; and in so many ways yoga has manifested profound change and focus in her journey as a massage therapist. Marisa was led to massage therapy through injury, and yoga; for the desire to learn and understand movement and the mind body connection. With the guidance of experienced mentors in health care, she brings with her a holistic and honest perspective on various treatments to inspire healing and growth in her practice of massage therapy. Marisa completed her training at Kikkawa College and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She has also completed training in Thai Yoga Massage and enjoys working with people of all ages, body types, injuries, abilities, and health goals. Marisa’s treatment style is adaptable and can be described as intuitive, therapeutic, conscious, and relaxing. Marisa believes in empowering and educating the people she treats with her wealth of knowledge and experience in coping with injuries and chronic pain.   • Alessandra Cozzitorto - Yoga Teacher

    Alessandra’s yoga practice started in the fall of 2012 and since then her interest in learning more only continues to grow. She enjoys practicing Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Iyengar style classes and has a personal meditation and pranayama practice. Yoga gives her the opportunity to go within and connect with true herself, to observe, to play, to learn, to let go and to surrender. Alessandra has completed and received a 300 Hour Teacher Training Certificate at Breathe Yoga Studio. She is very thankful for the teachers who have helped guide her along her path and she hopes to provide her students with the same experience.

  • Tammy McIntosh - Pilates Teacher

    Tammy’s love for Pilates runs deep, with over 9 years of personal practice. She decided to make what brought her the most self awareness, with body and mind, a larger part of her life by becoming a movement educator.

    She also has a long time friendship with weight conditioning and is in the process of becoming a personal trainer. She intends to intermingle both disciplines - strength and core connection - to bring her personal practice, as well as those of her clients in her community, to new levels.

    Tammy has a Body Harmonics certification, and having had many influences from many different teaching styles, she brings a enthusiastic energy to her classes. She is most fulfilled by seeing the changes that can happen in a client’s body as she works with them week after week to help them further connect with their bodies and mind, after all… pilates is the thinkers exercise!
